Added by Anonymous 125 days ago

First, congratulations to the software and the developers.
I have a CentOS 5.7, installed and some KVM VMs. After install Guests, im installed karesansui and it dont show my existing VMs.
I wonder if you can manage these VMs using karesansui?

Thanks

Hi,

Karesansui only supports the management of Xen-based or KVM-based virtual machines that are generated by itself, for it also generates its own data for displaying information on the management console at the same time as a virtual machine is created by using the product.

To display information of virtual machines generated in other ways,
all you need to do may be to follow the steps below:

  1. Generate a temporary virtual machine, which name is whatever you want, on Karesansui.
  2. Rewrite xml-formated setting of its temporary virtual machine with the setting of an existing one by using virsh command, /opt/hde/bin/virsh.

I am sorry, but the operation is NOT guaranteed.
